Well, the day is nearly upon us.
I’ve been fairly silent on Twitter and Facebook, and especially here on my blog the past bit: we’re moving!
Getting the studio all packed up, but leaving just enough set up to be able to do Tuesday’s show.*
Packing up the studio has proven to be a great deal of work. Not only do we have a lot of gear to run the show, but we also accumulate a lot of “stuff”. Stuff that gets sent in for review. Stuff that we display for our sponsors, or just general stuff that gets stacked in the studio due to the busy schedule we keep, doing a show each and every Tuesday night without fail.
So, the move has also been a great time for me to clear out some of the older stuff, or stuff we generally just don’t use anymore (due to upgrades or transition in our methods).
We have one more show, this Tuesday night, in “Studio B”–our existing studio, which we’ve been in since late Season 1 or early Season 2 (can’t quite remember when). We’ll be moving into a temporary space (our rec room at the new house) while we slowly renovate our new studio in the garage. So technically, we have a move, then a renovation, then another move. It’ll be a lot of work, but a lot of fun as Category5 grows into its new space.
I know it's a bit evil of me, but I purposefully packed a device in one of the boxes that beeps every so many hours. Let the fun begin!

* Interesting fact: The video “Amour Libre” is a French-Canadian movie by a Christian production company. The reason we have a copy is because my music was used for the soundtrack of the movie… way back in the day. I found it while packing. 🙂
